ITALY GALLERIES: OVERVIEW
the italian republic is a large european country, located in the mediterranian sea. it was established in 1861, after unification of most states in italy. italy has 60 mio residents. its region today is roughly like the "roman empire" around 200 b.c. i gave italy many visits - first one: 1969, most recent one: 2019. the resulting picture collections, in 16 galleries, present four italian cities: bergamo (1 gallery), milano (2 galleries), rome (6 galleries), and venice (including the venetian lagoon islands) (7 galleries).
rome was always the capital city of italy. its most famous city is venice though, because of its exceptional design.
in sum, italy is crowded with unique cities as well as stunning landscapes -- so it's a tremendous place to visit!
