USA

the united states of america (usa) is a federal republic consisting of 50 states and a federal district for the capital, washington. the population is 328 mio.

mini-history: the usa resulted from former colonies of great britain; the first one was virginia in 1607. the declaration of independence was stated in 1776. in ww-1 usa became the leading world power, and still is, in military terms. this country is very multi-cultural - yet unfortunately also (in)famous for the treatment of its 'non-white' citizen. of its very many cultural achievements, jazz counts exceptionally high.

regarding my usa voyages: 12 have happened, between 1976 and 2013. i've visited 28 states and there photographed, including new york, washinton city, chicago, and san francisco, as well as alaska and hawaii - these were mostly slides, rather than digital pictures.
so far, only for four states picture galleries are in preparation: arizona, hawaii islands, oregon and washington state. for each of these, a preliminary preview is presented.
