MALAYSIA - INTRO
the country malaysia is located in east asia, south of thailand and north of indonesia. it was part of the british empire yet gained independece in 1957. malaysia has 32 mio residents. its capital is kuala lumpur. in terms of ethniticy and religion, it is a multi-cultural country. my two visits took place in 1993 and 1997.
