city & harbour
there are lots of ships in this important habour, ranging from tiny ones to huge ones. those belong to cruise lines, which, mostly, go to antarctica, or to the falkland islands. right north of ushuaia are high mountains, the peaks covered with snow.
in ushuaia are also several stranded old ships - now very rusty and falling apart.
as in any harbour city, good restaurants are quite easy to find, good in design and good in food.
the range of private houses is considerable, from mini-houses to big ones, often in very modern design.

finally, ushuaia is not just a tourism center, it's also the harbour for many freight ships - and given that is after all argentina, of course one will see churches there!
