SAN MARINO

the country san marino is located within italy, south of bologna., northeastern of the apennine mountains.it is one of the smallest countries in the world - size: just 61square kilometres, population: 33000.
san marino is an indepentend country since 301 a.d. (!). neither the (late) roman empire nor the papal state nor modern italy acted against this.

i have visited san marino once, in 1972. at that time all my photography was done to create pictures for voyage albums. of those, the ones of san marino were not scanned for digital pic's.
