TECHNO STREET PARADE 2002
#1 AN UMBRELLA FESTIVAL ...

zuerich's famous annual "street parade" started about a decade ago ... over the years it grew into a monstrous event, with up to a million participants and spectators. it's also called "techno festival", because techno music, played at deafening levels, is the core ingredient ... another name is love parade, strangely so, and huge trucks carrying towers of loudspeaker and lots of dancing people are called lovemobiles (which seems even more strange) ... this time (2002) the weather was terrible with rain pissing down all day (btw, the first time ever on parade day), so there were only 600000 people on the streets, and the event had to become an umbrella festival ... obviously i was one of them, with an umbrella to protect my camera ...
