luzern has many historic buildings (including a lovely old pharmacy); and many sections of the old townwall are still in place as well ... special features are the murals on house facades, and the lovely oriels have very decorative features as well, as are the very elaborate shop signs ... the arts and especially music flourish in luzern - there's a music museum (in the villa where wagner lived for some years) and a hypermodern concert hall and performance centre, placed right at the lake ...
