peter the great in 1703 founded saint petersburg,
countless religious buildings have been established,
reaching from modest to grand scale. this includes: church
of the saviour, transfiguration cathedral , vladimir icon
church, church chesma. all the orthodox churches are very
colourful, and inside exceptional icon instalments and
painting can be seen.
