where is muscat? well, i attach a map of northern oman. this city, the capital, is still a once strongly fortified harbour town ... oman is still reigned, for a thousand or so years now, by a sultan ... have a look at the picture of the current monarch! postscriptum: he died in 2020. a cousin of him is the new sultan.
