the oslo galleries are in preparation ... here is a preview ... best known of norway's stunning landscapes are the fjords, many of which have harbour towns. ship lines have always florished in norway. originally, trondheim and then bergen were the principal towns and trade centres, yet in 1299 oslo became norway's capital.
below are some pictures from oslo, including the capital's city hall, akers brygge (which has both impressive bistros and impressive art), sculptures by vigeland, amundsen's ship 'gjoea', a ship figurehead, and munch's famous painting "the scream".
