when macau was flourishing and wealthy, in the 16th and 17th century, about a dozen fine christian churches were built, such as the igreja sao agosthinho ... the most famous one is the sao paulo (st. paul) church, consegregated in 1602, which survived as a ruin only - yet what a fabulous ruin is this great facade!
