indian traditional theatre performances are known as unusual and exciting - so it was certainly convenient that just on the last day of the kerala voyage a show of the kathakali theatre in cochin was due! and yes, it was both, weird and striking. here are the main photos.
listening to the music indeed, not to the texts though - yet above all it was looking, looking at the fabulous costumes, and at the stunning actions, it was a pleasure.
