HONDURAS
honduras is a small country in central america its north is the atlantic ocean, its south the country el salvador and the pacific ocean. guatemala is to the west, nicaragua to the east. until 1524 it was part of mayan nations, until 1821 part of the spanish empire, since then an independent country. the capital is tegucigalpa, the population is 9.5 mio.
one of the former mayan cities lies in honduras - copan. the photos of it, presented below, were made in 1987, during a quick sidestep from the large guatemala voyage.
