one morning on a day with cloudy weather, i went on a small amazonas boat to visit remote places where indios reside ... in the first village, unpretentious and rather shy people lived (not at all dressed in 'western' fashion!), including fishermen ... the second village had somewhat newer but nevertheless traditional wooden buildings; the residents offered masks as their handicrafts ... and the kids there looked rather sceptically at that strange visitor!
