'misty' invitation -- september 2013 ...
is a further music night looming? my
message is: yes and no. indeed, yes there will be one more
"mm?eff", "my music events for friends". however, no, it will
not be like any of the previous events. why? because it will be
a fusion of literature and music, a hybrid, as modern people
like to say.
the story is about elisa. elisa! i'll tell you bit by bit about
her weird dealings with a weird musician. who may have created
this weird tale?
and of course you will be deluged with terrific music, all
composed by wigdul flowerbedcourt. did he know elisa? did elisa
know him? and have you ever heard parts~pieces~portions of his
copious creations?
the hands of pat & rick will hammer and knock and rag and
dobber every piano key, whether white or black, whether left or
right. will it all be wigdul-ish?
in sum, i troolee hope that wigdul's compositions rattles your
ears, that the elisa story grabs you heart, and that you will
enjoy how both is intertwined!

MMEFF-2013: MUSIC &
LITERATURE

MMEFF in Sept 2013 was different to all previous
events, because music and literature were presented together,
intertwined - so it was "MM&LEFF"
... This was based on the novel "A certain music" by Celeste
Walters, which tells the story of a young girl who met a
unique musician and composer, who was - yes, Ludwig van
Beethoven.
Eight selected pieces of this wonderful book were presented by
two people, me and Christina Tester. In between music occured
- of course all music consisted of piano sonatas by Beethoven,
and they were played by Patrick Lawrence. The venue was St
Ann's on Rathdowne, a special 'arty' restaurant, which has an
excellent piano as well.
